Carex Tenuiculmis
Perhaps among the most handsome of carex. Forms a large tussock with fine red bronze foliage. The attractive reddish-bronze foliage has a drooping habit but does not form a trunk. Mass plant on an exposed bank to create foliage movement in the wind. Great for pond or streamside plantings.
Doesn’t like to dry out too much and shows best foliage colour in full sun. Does best in sunny, damp situations but will tolerate dry conditions.
