Cortaderia Fulvida Mountain Toe Toe
This is the smallest of the NZ native Toetoe species, with the same beautiful drooping seed plumes. It is fast growing and used as a nurse plant in re-vegetation. An outstanding native grass.
Helictrotrichon Sempervirens Blue Oat Grass
This attractive perennial grass is the best choice when going for a blue ornamental grass. With bluish-grey upright tufted foliage this grass lends itself well to architectural designs within the garden. This very easy care plant is suitable for growing in mass plantings or best beside ponds and other moisture retentive areas. Great for providing strong contrast with dark foliaged plants like burgundy flaxes or purple cabbage trees.
This NZ native reed is a great choice for wet or dry problem areas. Also known as jointed rush as the delicate grey-green leaves have brown markings or joints at various points along the leaf length.
A relatively slow growing evergreen grass like perennial with deep green foliage topped in autumn with deep purple-voilet flowers. Ideal easy care ground cover.
Lomandra Katrina's Deluxe Mat Rush
Australian native grass. Wider leaf than it’s predecessors but just as stunning. Keeps the bright green foliage all year round. Great as a mass in a “Hard to grow anything” area.
Lomandra confertifolia Seascape
A stunning selection of Lomandra with dark blue-grey foliage and a graceful weeping habit. During summer highly fragrant small yellow blooms appear that laden the air with a sweet aroma.
Am improved compact fine leaf form of the popular Lomandra Longifolia. This attractive deep green selection provides a graceful versatile plant. It has an attractive yellow flower head in spring. Great mass planted in the garden or as under-planting.
A rare and unusual native Australian Lomandra growing into a small rounded ball shaped plant. Small spikes of cream flowers are borne within the foliage in spring. A great little border plant or mass planting.
Lomandra longifolia 'Tanika' Tanika Mat Rush
This Australian grass is a highly ornamental and tough landscaping favourite. It is a dwarf form of the original Lomandra longifolia and will grow to a height of 60cm.
A semi-compact fine textured tufting plant that grows up to 75cm x 75cm. It has light blue-green leaves with an attractive yellow flower head. Grows well in full sun to moderate shade. Coastal hardy. Needs a well drained soil. This plant looks great mass planted or used as a border.
A graceful drooping tussock grass with very fine fawn-grey foliage. It grows into a nice clump to about 50cm. Likes a dry sunny spot and looks best when planted in mass. A great coastal tussock that will tolerate poor soils.
Evergreen perennial sedge with greenish red to rich reddish bronze leaves. Ideal at the front of the border in moist conditions.
