Our Plants

Buxus Green Gem naturally grows to form a small rounded shrub about a metre in diameter.  It has small narrow leaves and slow growth of 30-50mm per year.  This is a great plant for low hedging or topiary balls.  The spring growth is a beautiful soft lime green darkening with age.

During the spring and summer the foliage has wonderful variegation’s of lime green edged in red, as the weather cools the colours change to brilliant pinks and deep red. Beautiful! Excellent for general garden planting, small hedges and group plantings. Also ideal as a container plant that combines superbly with terracotta.
