Pseudopanax Lineafolius

Very narrow, slightly serrated bright green leaves makes for a great specimen. Can be used as a hedge or screen in a hot and well drained site.

Like the name suggests Trident has three webbed fingers on each leaf. Fantastically
unique. The very attractive green foliage makes for a great hedge.

Pseudowintera Colorata Horipito Pepper Tree

A slow growing native shrub with a lovely display of reds and cream foliage. Makes for a great contrast and show piece in any garden. Can use leaves as a herb in pasta dishes and bread doughs to add a hot peppery taste.

Rhopalostylis sapida Pitt Island Nikau

A much sought after Nikau from Pitt Island.  Much faster growing than our mainland native. Very cold hardy and stronger than other Nikau. Beautiful dark green upright foliage that truly sets it apart from the rest. Very tidy habit. A must  for a lovely lush tropical feel.

An attractive large shrub – small tree with small fern like foliage paired up the stem. Covered in spring with beautiful yellow flowers. The base of the flower is filled with nectar which is a favourite food for many native birds. Great in any garden as a specimen or planted in groups.

Sophora microphylla fulvida Kowhai

This variety of Kowhai is localised in the West Auckland of Auckland.  It is a smaller growing Kowhai with larger yellow flowers and had brownish colour on the leaf stems.  It has a more upright habit with the flowers being quite pendulous and is slightly slower growing.

A compact tidy Kowhai that becomes completely covered in bright yellow flowers in spring, summer. Great for the small garden and can look extremely effective when grown as a pot specimen.   Tui, pigeon and white eyes love this plant.

Sophora tetraptera Kowhai

This is the large-leaved Kowhai, This small tree has large fern like foliage and large golden yellow Kowhai flowers from early spring.  It will flower when quite young. The base of the flower is filled with nectar which is a favourite food for many native birds. A superb tree for small gardens as a specimen or amongst other trees and  shrubs.

Streblus banksii Turepo Milkwood tree

A pretty NZ Native found in both North and South Islands including Islands of the Hauraki Gulf. A good coastal tree preferring deep fertile soils but may at times be found on steep cliff faces, rock ledges and often seen as a stunted shrub on cobble/boulder beaches. In the native or subtropical garden this tree makes a great specimen with a rounded crown and small dark red berries in summer.

Vitex lucens Puriri

One of the most attractive native specimens available. With its glossy dark green leaves, and growing with a rounded spreading canopy, puriri is an excellent shade or specimen tree.  Flowers are produced year round followed by red fruit which are very appealing to the native wood pigeons.

Xeronema callistemon Poor Knights Lily

Fans of flax like foliage and magnificent bottlebrush like brilliant red flowers in late spring or early summer. Needs excellent drainage in a sunny location. Perfect for pots as it thrives on being root bound.
